Bosal Child's Chair

So I finally got Ruby's chair covered. I found it at Quilt Market in May and knew she had to have one. And I was right, she's loved it since I brought it home. Hopefully she loves it just as much now that it's covered. Lol But she'll just have to wait a bit to see it, as it, will be residing at the Sew-A-Lot for a little bit.

The pattern was from #CutLoosePress, using a Bosal foam chair insert. All of the supplies are available at Sew-A-Lot (the Bosal chair inserts will be special order since they are so big). But to see this in person you'll have to come visit the Lexington location. I didn't follow all the directions exactly, surprise surprise but for the most part I did. I did quilt my fabric first on the #PFAFF Powerquilter P3, which I think makes it so much cuter!

It's great for kids & grandkids and I definitely see myself making another one for baby #2. Fortunately, I've got time to get hers done. Don't worry adults, Bosal also makes an adult size chair insert, so you can have one too!

If you make one, I'd love it if you posted a picture on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/sewalot!

Happy Sewing,
Liz

Quilt Market 2014

Lesley & I got up with the sun today to travel to Pittsburg PA for three days of fabrics, patterns, notions, and tons of ideas. Today we walked the market for 8 hours getting brochures and taking pictures of things we thought were fabulous.

We saw things that we already had on order like Nancy Halvorsen's new fabric line Christmas Pure and Simple. (Which arrived in Ky this week. The books are on order.)

Then we found lots of new things like fabric company Cotton & Steel. Where we ordered some cottons, lawn and canvas.

Then we prepared for our Saturday appointments like which fabric lines we would consider purchasing from Moda.

Stay tuned. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
